Product Review: Remlinger Farms Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
We have personally visited Remlinger Farms (located in Carnation, Washington) several times. They have a small amusement park and educational farm tours that we have taken the kids to now and again. They also have a country store on-site where you can buy fresh produce. Whenever I find myself there, I try and buy a couple of bags of their individually frozen sour pie cherries. Mmmmmm good!

Remlinger Farms also ships out some of their produce to several of the local large supermarkets. My nearby QFC, for example, carries some of their frozen berries (not the cherries though unfortunately) as well as some of their handmade pies. Yesterday I purchased a Remlinger Farms Strawberry Rhubarb Pie from my local QFC. They have some in the freezer section which I could have baked at home, but I just grabbed one out of the bakery that was already baked.

I served it up this evening for dessert. Bertha serves up strawberry rhubarb pie all the time down in Chula Vista. But like the mustard plum sauce, this is one of those delicious items Bertha serves on many occasions but that the Sorenson kids (in general) will spurn in disgust. And as expected, only myself and Angela (who also married into the family) were enthusiastically volunteering to try the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie this evening. I did manage to convince Scott to give it a try... I only had to pull one or two of his teeth. Once he did try it however, he did agree with Angela and myself that it was extremely delicious.

The Remlinger Farms Strawberry Rhubarb pie is very good pie... if you can get it at your local Northwest supermarket, then I highly recommend you purchase one and guard it jealously. Or if you married a Sorenson, you can eat it all by yourself without having to worry that it will be raided. Remlinger Farms also makes several other varieties of pie, I'll have to try each of them separately and tender separate reviews. It should be a tough job.
