Plotting my Focal Length Trends
I read Khan's blog post on plotting focal length trends this evening and decided to run my own numbers. I ran Khan's find command (using -iname instead of -name) and produced a beautiful graph of focal lengths versus exposure counts for pictures taken with my Canon EOS 30D. I have the stock 18-55mm lens, so my range is much more narrow than Khan's. But you will note that there distinct spikes at both ends of the focal length of the single lens I own.

What does that mean? Probably that I should consider getting some new lenses for my camera. I've added a couple to my wish list.
