More Goodnight Kisses
I put Berkeley down for the night this evening. The nightly routine
will typically start with brushing teeth, prayer together as a family,
personal prayers, story time, and then goodnight kisses. I'm sure
Kristy does goodnight kisses a little differently, but I will usually
give the kids goodnight kisses beginning on their forehead, then their
nose, lips, each cheek, and finally each eye (which forces them to
close their eyes at least for a second). Tonight we went through
the same routine. After the goodnight kisses, Berkeley lay on the bed
not quite ready to fall asleep.
"Can I have some more goodnight kisses Daddy?", Berkeley asked.
"Of course.", I said.
He asked a couple more times and I obliged each time.
Park City Vacation: Day Three
Today we started the day by swimming again... for about an hour or so.
Then I drove down to Salt Lake for lunch with Dave and Kevin. We ate
at Red Rock (I had the
Reuben and the home-brewed root beer) and chatted. During my drive
back home, the ML struggled badly up Parley's Canyon (same symptoms as
before). I phoned the Mercedes dealership in Lindon and scheduled an
appointment for tomorrow.
After I finally made it back to the hotel room, I watched the kids while
Kristy went to the spa for a massage. It was a pretty low-key day.
