Small Talk
It seems that just in the last month, Eliana's verbal skills have expanded and advanced significantly. Her pronunciation still needs some work, but her "mature" sentence construction is quite surprising at times. The influence of her older brother probably is strongly at play, as the two of them will carry on small conversations that just crack me up. (Berkeley: "Eliana, Let's play with trains.", Eliana: "I don't think that is a very good idea Gerky. Let's play dress-up instead.")

Tonight (like most other nights), Berkeley and Eliana were seated around the bar. It was time for the before-bed root beer floats (which has now become something of a before-bed ritual). While I was scooping out the ice cream into the frosty mugs, Berkeley was holding the can of root beer.

"Watch Dad, I can open this up with my hands.", said Berkeley challenging himself.
"Ok."

With a lot of effort he did actually open the can, somewhat surprisingly as this had been a task he had not been able to accomplish before (that I know of anyway). Eliana was also surprised... and impressed:

"Oh, good job Gerky. You are a strong boy!"

And I laughed. It was funny.
